Site Supervisor’s Safety Training Scheme Refresher (SSSTS)
Course Description

The SSSTS Refresher Courses aims to bring Construction Supervisors health and safety knowledge up to date, as well as giving a thorough overview of legislative changes and their impact in the workplace.

Who Should Attend

This one-day course is for delegates who have previously passed the full two-day Site Supervisor’s Safety Training Scheme or subsequent one-day Refresher course and can provide proof of attendance.

Course Content

The course includes a wide range of topics, some building on those contained within the two-day course programme and others introducing new subjects.

Assessment and Award

Coursework is assessed by the instructor throughout the course, via work produced by syndicate exercises and individual participation. There is also a 30 minute, multiple-choice examination at the end of the course, with successful candidates awarded the CITB Site Supervisors Safety Training Certificate.

Duration

The SSSTS Refresher Course lasts one day and the certificate lasts for five years, after which the course would need to be retaken in order to renew the certificate and keep the qualification up-to-date.

Grace Period

Delegates who have exceeded the six-month grace period are not eligible to take the refresher course. Any delegate who is accepted onto a course outside of the grace period will not be processed as achieving the certificate.
